Reminiscence

I sit with my memories.

Who was I?

Laughing without weight,

Before time hardened me.

Old classrooms, unfinished dreams.

Shoes are too small now.

Voices I once trusted,

Echoing in quiet hours.

I cry for that child.

Still inside my chest.

Not broken, just growing.

Missing what felt safe.
