Portal by Carl Scharwath
This photo is of an amazing place called Green Springs in Deltona, Florida which once had a hotel and bathers in the sulfur springs way back in the 1890's. This was a random shot before my 5k running race in the early morning.
Device: Google Pixel 8 Phone.

I did not use a camera but my Google Pixel 8 phone. The reason? This photo is of an amazing place called Green Springs in Deltona, Florida which once had a hotel and bathers in the sulfur springs way back in the 1890's. This was a random shot before my 5k running race in the early morning.
-artist statement (optional)
Artist Statement:
I use photography and painting as a means of self-expression. The most important quality of a photograph/painting, as in all of art, is to evoke an emotional response. I prefer to capture surrealistic moments when I can, the play of light and colors and unusual situations as they unfold. As a passionate runner, being aware of my surroundings tends to produce some surprise scenes instead of forcing an image of time with my camera. Currently I have been concentrating on collaborations with other international poets who interpret my photos with their powerful words creating an art form that compliments each other.

Bristol by Dominik Slusarkczyk

Artist statement: I am interested in how the small parts of the world combine to make the cities and towns we live in. I take photos of the kind of things you would walk straight past if you had somewhere to be. We ignore so much of the world and because we ignore it we miss much of the beauty. It is only when we pause, only when we actively decide not to keep rushing around like everyone else insists we do, that we start to see the small parts of the world and appreciate how beautiful those small parts are. I look at a scene and think about what gets ignored even though it is right there. My photography is an attempt to immortalise the parts of our world that people have forgotten.

I live on the rural Charles River in the woods of New England and I photograph the natural habitat, just as I find it, of animals and plants that live near or on water. I wonder about them, I marvel at them, I respect them. I do the same while I travel. Water, woods and meadow habitats thrill and fascinate me. In this collection of photos, there is bird, river, rooster and wildflower. With my i-phone, I practice daily creative walking to capture spontaneous digital images of reverence and presence, liveliness, play, surprise and zest.

Eye of a Gypsy by Christopher Woods
Taken with an iPhone 14.
These photographs were taken in a rural part of Texas where I live. Although I spent much of my life in a large city, Houston, for the first time I am living in the country and becoming much closer to nature, which is both beautiful and harsh.
