Serrated blade cleaves hard crust

yielding yeasty aroma.

Next a heavy slathering of

viscous creamy mayonnaise,

a single rib of emerald romaine,

three thick oozing slabs

of pommes d'amour

still warm from the sun,

two slippery slices of slippery

yellow-green avocado,

topped with a very healthy

grind of black pepper.

Sighs and crunching as breadcrumbs fall,

juices dripping with first greedy bite

Sensual melange,

delectable amalgam,

perfect sandwich.
